Police: 1 of 2 suspects arrested in connection to fatal Salisbury shooting

SALISBURY, N.C. — On Monday night, police arrested one of two suspects connected to a fatal shooting in Salisbury on Monday afternoon.

Police arrested 22-year-old Andre Rynell Bognuda of Salisbury and charged him with murder.

Police said Bognuda and another suspect who has not yet been located shot and killed 19-year-old Abraham Jenkins at Institute and West Horah Streets.

Livignstone College was placed on lockdown Monday afternoon as a precaution. The reported shooting happened a few blocks away from campus.

Salisbury police are still looking for a second suspect described as a black male, late teens to early 20s, dark skin and short dreads.
