Witness: Dispute over oxygen mask led to Long View homicide

Police have arrested a man in Long View, accusing him of killing another man Sunday night.

Officers said they were called out to 432 20th Street SW Sunday night just before 7 p.m. in reference to a stabbing.

When officers arrived they found Johnny McGill suffering from a stab wound. He was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Lincolnton where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested Johnny Lee Roland and have charged him with murder. Police said the two men knew each other.
An eyewitness told Channel 9 that a dispute over a woman's oxygen mask led to the stabbing.

The Long View Polie Department has requested the help of the SBI in this investigation.
