WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C. - Police have confirmed two people were found dead inside a home at 447 Wildwood Drive in Deep Gap.

Officials were called to the home around 2:30 p.m. Friday after someone found the couple dead.

Police said the couple were in their late 50s or 60s.

The sheriff has released very few details, but does not suspect foul play.

Authorities searched for a vehicle that was normally at the residence and located it at a local repair shop.

The vehicle was taken to the shop for routine repairs several days before police found the couple.
