Police: 2 shot by masked gunmen in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police in Rock Hill said a man had to be flown to a local hospital after a shooting Thursday night.

Officers said two men, 25 and 27, were shot around 9 p.m. on White Street. One man was shot in the arm and was taken to Piedmont Medical Center while the other was shot in the chest and flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Detectives have given a limited description of the shooters, saying they are black males with two of them wearing masks. Police said they took off in an unknown type vehicle.

The investigation is in its early stages.
