Police arrest 17-year-old on murder charge

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have arrested a man that they said killed another man in northwest Charlotte.

Police charged 17-year-old Marte Edwards with murder, attempted robbery and several other charges.

Bob Pate Jr., 25, was killed back in September.

Police said Pate was shot after an argument on Stonehenge Lane.

A woman drove him to a nearby gas station.

He later died in the hospital.
