Police charge man accused of injuring three with BB gun inside NC bookstore

CARY, N.C. — Police said they have arrested a man accused of shooting people with a BB gun inside a North Carolina Barnes and Noble Bookstore.

Wake County deputies said 18-year-old Jonathan Courtney walked into the bookstore with two BB guns and started shooting.

Officials said three people were injured in the shooting, but are expected to be OK.

Cary Police said they have charged Courtney with two counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon and one count of discharging a barreled weapon into an occupied property.

They have not revealed a possible motive.

No other information has been released.
