CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect they said attempted to rob a bank in Cotswold Friday.
Officers said the suspect went into the Fifth Third Bank on South Sharon Amity Road just before 5 p.m. The suspect passed a note to a teller demanding money and said that he had a gun, according to officials.
The teller then backed away from the counter and would not give the suspect any money, police said.

The suspect was last seen on South Sharon Amity Road headed towards Robin Road.
