CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A pedestrian was running to catch a CATS bus uptown Saturday night when he fell and his arm slipped under a bus wheel, police said.
The accident happened near the bus stop at 310 East Trade St. about 10:45 p.m.
The man was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with critical injuries, authorities said.
“I thought it was a joke until I saw blood on the ground and that’s what really freaked me out," said Tilyanda Killingsworth, a witness to the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
