Police charge 3 teens in east Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officers responded Tuesday to the 5600 block of Wallace Cabin Lane to a report of a shooting.

Officials found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

After investigating, officers found that a group of teens had gathered for a planned fight when someone started shooting and then drove away in a silver minivan.

Officers found the van nearby on Piney Grove Road.

Officers arrested three people and seized two guns.

After interviews, detectives charged Shomari Anthon, 16, Ivan Antonelli Antigua de Jesus, 16, and a 15-year-old male juvenile with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Detectives are searching for a possible fourth person.
