Police: Charlotte man killed in ATV crash

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — (AP) Authorities are investigating a fatal ATV crash in Charlotte.

Police say 35-year-old Marvin Andrew Davis was riding with friends in a wooded area on Saturday afternoon when he tried to jump a creek in his ATV.

Investigators say Davis struck an embankment, was thrown off the ATV and pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are still investigating the crash. Officials say Davis was wearing a helmet.
