• Police: Gaston Co. shooting Thursday morning deemed drug-related

    GASTON COUNTY, N.C. - Police in Gastonia say a shooting at a home Thursday morning was drug-related.

    The incident happened on North Weldon Street around 2 a.m.

    One person was shot in the leg and taken to Caromont Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

    Investigators say the victim knows the shooter.
