GASTONIA, N.C. — Police said a 10-year-old girl was hit by a car Tuesday afternoon in Gastonia.
It happened around 4 p.m. along Highway 321 near Hudson Boulevard.
Police said a vehicle hit the girl as she was crossing the street. The girl was taken to the hospital with a broken leg.
Highway 321 was shut down while police investigated the scene.
Officers were interviewing the driver, but no other details about what led to the accident were released.
