Police looking for woman accused of larceny who cut off electronic monitor

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking the public for help in finding a woman accused of habitual larceny who cut off her electronic monitor.

Police said Brandy Elaine Degraffenreid is wanted for multiple counts of habitual larceny, obtaining property by false pretense, damage to property and interfering with an electronic monitoring device. Degraffenreid was ordered by a court to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of her pretrial release, but she cut it off on Sunday.

Police believe Degraffenreid was last known to be in the area of 109 Gibson Park Drive in Huntersville. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Degraffenreid is asked to call the Electronic Monitoring Unit at 704-432-8888 or 911.
