• Police: Man pepper-sprays cashier, robs Walmart

    HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. - Police need the public’s help finding a man they said pepper-sprayed a cashier and robbed a Walmart in Huntersville over the weekend.

    Officers said the man walked into the Walmart on Bryton Town Center Drive Saturday around 7 a.m. wearing a black quilted-style jacket, gray pants and a brown-colored towel draped over his head.

    The man approached the female cashier, sprayed her and took and undisclosed amount of cash from the register before running out of the store.

    The cashier wasn’t hurt.
