• Police: Concord man tried to attack officer with ax


    CONCORD, N.C. - A Concord man is behind bars after trying to attack an officer with an ax.
    Police said they were called to a home on Brookwood Avenue in Concord.
    When they got there, police said, Garry Moore, 58, picked up an ax and started moving toward his girlfriend and then an officer.
    The officer used his Taser on Moore, who was arrested without hitting anyone with the ax.
