CHINA GROVE, N.C. — Police are looking for a suspect who they believe shot and wounded a man in China Grove on Sunday.
The China Grove Police Department along with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reported shooting around 9:22 p.m. on Harry Street.
Officers said when they arrived they found 34-year-old Derrick Alexander of Salisbury with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Alexander was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Witnesses said a dark-colored SUV was seen leaving the area after they heard gun shots.
China Grove detectives are currently looking for additional information in this case.
