HICKORY, N.C. — An accident reconstruction team in Hickory spent hours going over a crash scene Sunday after a deadly head-on accident involving a motorcycle.
Police shutdown a one-mile stretch of 16th Street Northeast after the crash happened around 6 p.m.
Investigators said a pick-up truck crossed the center line into the path of the motorcycle and then continued on into some trees.
Investigators said Dennis Dorrier was on the motorcycle and died after being rushed to the hospital.
The driver of the truck was treated and released from the hospital.
Police said charges are pending against the driver of the truck
