Police release surveillance pictures of suspects in convenience store robbery

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are asking for help identifying two suspects in a convenience store robbery.

On Monday, two men grabbed a store clerk at a 7-11 on Eastway Drive and forcibly moved him to an office area before taking money and merchandise from the store, investigators said. Police said the men also took the clerk’s vehicle.

The clerk wasn’t injured, and his vehicle was later found at a nearby apartment complex, according to police.

Officers said the first suspect is a black man who is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He has sideburns, a goatee and short, curly hair, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans, police said.

The second suspect is a black man who is approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build, police said. He was last seen wearing a blue and white zip-up hooded sweatshirt and jeans, according to investigators.
