CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are searching for three people who robbed an east Charlotte convenience store and fired shots inside late Tuesday night.
The robbery happened just after 11 p.m. at the Corner Mart at Eastway and Kilborne drives.
Two employees were inside the convenience at the time, but no customers.
Officials said the robbers fired shots inside the store during the robbery, but did not shoot at the employees.
Police said a robber did assault one of the employees, causing minor injuries.
