• Police search for gunman after man killed in northwest Charlotte

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were searching for the person who shot and killed a man in northwest Charlotte early Thursday morning.

    Officers found the victim shot on Tillman Road near Interstate 85 and Glenwood Drive around 1 a.m.

    He later died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as Darius Antonio Fuller

    Police think he had been in a car that wrecked in the woods nearby.

    Investigators say they don't believe it was a random act of violence.
