Police seize $49k and cocaine from 57-year-old man

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested a 57-year-old man who they believe is a major drug dealer in Charlotte.

Investigators said they found plastic wrappings with cocaine residue in Mohammad Khan's trash in October.

Two days later, police searched Khan's east Charlotte home and say they found $49,000 and 90 grams of cocaine.

Neighbors said they saw the police cars, but they didn't expect such a large seizure.

According to search warrants, Khan was involved in heroin trafficking in Canada in 1987.

He was also arrested in March for trafficking cocaine and maintaining a drug home.
