Police: Suspected burglar found naked inside Hickory church

HICKORY, N.C. — Police said they found a burglar inside a Hickory church naked over the weekend.

Officers told the Daily Record they found James Kimrey in the Resurrection International Church on Clement Boulevard Sunday morning.

They said he had fallen through the roof.

Kimrey told police he wanted to spend the night in the church, police said.

Officers believe Kimrey took off his clothes to squeeze into a vent to get into the church.
