Police: Two arrested after Statesville pastor assaulted, robbed

STATESVILLE, N.C. — Officials say two people are in custody after they assaulted and robbed a Statesville pastor and stole his car.

The Statesville Police Department said that they were called to investigate an incident on the 1400 block of Alexander Street January 1.

Police say that three suspects who were working alongside a local pastor on a church renovation project assaulted and robbed the pastor of his belongings and his car.

Officials say David Harris, 36, is accused of carrying out the assault and stealing the pastor’s vehicle.

Jaddin Norris, 20, is also being charged as an accomplish in this robbery.

Police say a third suspect who was involved has not yet been charged.

Statesville Police say this incident is still under investigation and we will provide updates as we receive them.
