CHARLOTTE — Sports and politics are two passions that always find their way into the same conversations. The two topics are the focus of a new book written by journalist Chris Cillizza titled “Power Players.”
From Richard Nixon’s obsession’s with bowling to Ronald Reagan’s struggles to throw a first pitch, Cillizza covers a variety of stories about past presidents and how sports really shaped the presidency.
The Political Beat’s Joe Bruno spoke with Chris Cillizza about the book and the presidents it covers.
