• Rain moving out, clearing the way for fair conditions

    By: John Ahrens

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Heavy showers and fog will be on their way out of the area by early Saturday evening and the rain should end around 9 p.m. However, some fog and drizzle will stick around close to midnight.

The weather system will have brought about 1 inch of rain by the time it moves out of the region.

Some clouds may linger Sunday morning but sunshine will completely break through toward lunchtime.

The temperature for the Carolina Panthers game Sunday will be in the 50s under clear skies.

The work week will kick off with a stretch of nice conditions that could bring in warmer temperatures well into the 60s by Wednesday and Thursday.
