"It really angers me," said one of his alleged victims, who did not want to be identified.

Her apartment on East Hudson Boulevard was broken into while her family was asleep in March.

"I was afraid," she said. "My heart was pounding. My heart was broken."

No arrests have been made in the woman's case and there are other unsolved break-in crimes in the same complex.

Police later discovered Short lived in the same apartment complex.

"A very scary situation, even staying there because he could have done anything to us," said the woman, whose apartment was broken into while her family slept.

Short moved out and the break-ins stopped.
