CHARLOTTE — A worker at a local nursing home said not enough is being done to ensure staff is not spreading the virus.

Jacqueline Leathers, a housekeeper at Accordius Health, said she has tested positive for COVID-19.

She said residents at the rehab center in Charlotte are being tested on a regular basis, but staff members are not.

“I want them to test the employees,” Leathers said. “That is all I want.”

In the video at the top of this webpage, Leathers tells Channel 9′s Damany Lewis she is not only worried about the facility’s residents, but also concerned about the well-being of her daughter, who has special needs.
