HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. — One person has died and several others were hurt after a retaining wall collapsed Wednesday morning in Hendersonville, WLOS reports.
A construction crew was working on a retaining wall bordering a Hajoca Corporation parking lot when the wall collapsed at about 9:30 a.m., Hendersonville officials told WLOS.
Hajoca is located off of Spartanburg Highway. It is a plumbing supply, kitchen, and bath showroom.
Officials confirmed to WLOS that one person was killed and several other people were hurt.
Two people were flown to Mission Hospital and one person was taken by ambulance to Pardee Hospital, WLOS reports. Another person was treated on the scene and is expected to be OK.
No names have been released and no additional details are available at this time, according to WLOS.
