CHARLOTTE — Mother Earth Group’s newest concept debuts this week in uptown Charlotte.

Mariposa — Spanish for butterfly — brings tastes from around the globe. Jill Marcus, president of the Charlotte restaurant group, says the concept was inspired by her travels and desire to bring the world closer together.

It’s at the Mint Museum, at 500 S. Tryon St. It replaces Mother Earth’s Halcyon, which operated there for a decade.
