Reward offered after 1,000-pound concrete chicken stolen in Taylorsville

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — There is a reward being offered after someone stole a 1,000-pound concrete chicken in Alexander County this weekend.

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office said the chicken, which was over three feet tall, was snatched from a property on All Healing Springs Road in Taylorsville sometime Saturday night into Sunday morning.

The base of the chicken was located several miles away on the same road.

Anyone with information on the chicken’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 828-632-8555.
