• Rock Hill police: 5 arrested after prostitution sting

    ROCK - Rock Hill police arrested five people Wednesday in connection with a prostitution sting operation in Rock Hill, according to a news release.
     
    Three women and two men were arrested at two hotels –- the Super 9 on Riverview Road and the Ramada Inn on North Cherry Road.
     
    Michelle Sheppard, 19, of Rock Hill, was charged with prostitution.
     
    Devoja Clay, 23, of Charlotte, was charged with prostitution and possession of marijuana.
     
    George Alford, 41, of Charlotte, was charged with prostitution, possession of cocaine and possession of heroin.
     
    Julie Elliott, 26, of Pineville, was charged with prostitution, possession of cocaine and possession of heroin.
     
    Michael Brandon Allen, 38, of Statesville, was charged with prostitution, possession of cocaine and possession of heroin.
