• Rocks thrown through car windows in string of vandalism

HICKORY, N.C. - Police in Hickory are working to identify a group of vandals who have targeted more than a dozen people this week.

Officers took 15 reports Tuesday of someone throwing rocks through car windows north of the downtown area.

Police has also responded to overturned trash cans and Port-a-Jons being damaged.

Most of the cars that were damaged were parked along streets and not in driveways.

"I was pretty hurt actually to think that kids would do this, and think that it is fun because it is not, and it causes a lot of damage," said victim Victoria Lariscy.

Police said there could be as many as four people involved in the vandalism driving possibly a white SUV.
