Rowan Co. man will spend life in jail for trafficking cocaine

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A Rowan County man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for trafficking cocaine from Mexico to North Carolina.

Officials said Freddie Andaya, also known as Raymond Garcia, was the leader of a drug conspiracy.

They said he ran a drug ring in Mecklenburg, Iredell, Union and Rowan counties.

He also had a stash house in Concord.

Officials said Andaya sold more than $10 million worth of cocaine in the area.
