• Rowan County deputies hunt for smash-and-grab robbers

    ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. - Rowan County deputies want the public’s help finding two men they said broke into a Salisbury store early Thursday morning.
     
    Officials said the two suspects broke a window to get into Village Grocery off Highway 601.
     
    Deputies said that smash-and-grab crime matches others in the area.
     
    Two men broke the glass door at this Dollar General on Mooresville Road, and one man shattered a cigarette display with a hammer.
     
    Deputies said similar crimes occurred in Salisbury City, Granite Quarry, and China Grove last weekend.
