Rowan County leaders mobilize in hopes of organizing their own mass vaccination site

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Rowan County’s health department has been getting about 300 COVID-19 vaccine doses a week from the state and some county leaders say that’s not good enough.

“300 doses per week in a county of 140,000 people -- do the math, it’s just not sufficient,” Rowan County Commissioner Craig Pierce said.

Now, Pierce and other county commissioners are mobilizing in hopes of organizing their own mass clinic.
