SC Senators advance bid to redistrict state’s congressional map

SOUTH CAROLINA — South Carolina Senators advanced a bid Saturday to redistrict the state’s congressional map.

According to the state newspaper, the move sets up a final reading and vote on Tuesday.

There’s a push to redraw the map and give Republicans a 7-0 congressional delegation.

Senators moved to vote after deciding to limit how long they could debate the bill Saturday.

In-person early voting starts Tuesday in South Carolina.
