MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Police were investigating what led to a crash that left a school bus with heavy front-end damage early Friday in eastern Mecklenburg County.
The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. on Albemarle Road at Coble Road and involved a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools bus and another vehicle.

CMS officials said seven students were on the bus, which was headed to Independence High School, but that none of them were hurt.
It was not immediately clear if anyone in the other car was injured.
