Seeking treatment immediately after signs of stroke is crucial

As a result of the pandemic, area hospitals and across the country are seeing a decrease in emergency room visits particularly in stroke victims.

Medical experts said time is crucial if someone starts experiencing stroke symptoms.

“I don’t know if I necessarily recognized, at the time, that it was a stoke but I definitely recognized that something wasn’t normal, but I went with my gut, and I’m glad that I did,” Meghan McKee said.
