Several uptown, University-area restaurants among those that didn't make the grade in October

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Business Journal is continuing its monthly series that provides a review of health code inspections for Mecklenburg County restaurants.

Restaurants named in this feature scored either a “B” or “C” when inspected in the month of October, according to data pulled Nov. 8 from the N.C. Public Health Inspections online database.

A total of 566 restaurants, of which 15 scored below an “A,” were inspected last month in Mecklenburg County. For restaurants that received a “B” or “C” grade last month but have since been re-inspected, that updated score will be noted in the summary.

Those noted in the October review to have scored below an “A” include a high-end uptown restaurant, a brunch spot in Dilworth, a South End eatery and several establishments in the University City area.
