SHELBY, N.C. — Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in Shelby Wednesday morning.
Officials said when officers arrived in the area, they found a man lying in the roadway on Lineberger Street with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Authorities said Cleveland County EMS responded, but pronounced 55-year-old Duane Bouvier Oates dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made.
