Sheriff's Office searching for 2 after vehicles stolen

LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — On Thursday around 4:56 a.m., a man wearing a hat, white tank top, shorts and shoes broke into Bernard Motorcar Company at 9410 Charlotte Highway in Indian Land, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.


While inside of the business, the man removed two vehicle keys that were in the office. He then got into a 2005 two-door Mini Cooper and exited the parking lot, according to officials. About 15 minutes later, the man returned and stole a 2002 Dodge Durango.
 
The Mini Cooper was found in the parking lot of the Indian Land Walmart. However,the Dodge Durango was last seen on northbound Charlotte Highway into Mecklenburg County, deputies said.
 
Video surveillance from Walmart showed two people who fled the parking lot in the stolen Durango.
