Shooters pepper Long View home during drive-by

LONG VIEW, N.C. — A home with seven people inside -- including three children -- was riddled with bullets.

Fortunately, no one was hurt. Authorities are now looking for the triggerman.

A witness tells Eyewitness News they saw someone hanging out of an SUV when those shots – 24 in all -- were fired. Police believe they came from two different weapons -- one of which was an assault rifle.

“It scares me to death knowing people are coming into my neighborhood and more or less terrorizing the people,” neighbor Faye Ledford tells Channel 9.

Long View Police say they have not made any arrests in the case, but are stepping up patrols in the neighborhood where the shooting happened. Police did not give any indication as to a possible motive for the drive-by.
