Silver Alert canceled after man reported missing in Cabarrus County

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — UPDATE: The Silver Alert for Russell was canceled.

An 81-year-old man who may have dementia or Alzheimer’s is missing out of Cabarrus County, and police are asking the public’s help to find him.

A Silver Alert was issued for William Lewis Russell.

He is 6 feet tall and weighs 220 pounds, with gray hair and hazel eyes.

Russell was last seen wearing a gray vest, blue shirt and khaki pants.

His last known location was on Shoreview Drive in Concord.

He is driving a black 2007 Toyota Tundra with a North Carolina tag, JDN9640.

Call police if you have information.

Authorities did not release a photo of Russell.
