Small plane crash in Union Co. injures 3 adults, child

UNION COUNTY — Four people -- three adults and a child -- were taken to Carolinas Medical Center after a plane crashed in Union County on Sunday afternoon, according to Union County officials. All four suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The Union County Sheriff's Office confirmed a small Cessna plane went down at the Charlotte National Golf Course near the Goose Creek Airport on West Lawyers Road in Indian Trail.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m.

The plane had just taken off, crashing only moments after take-off.

The Federal Aviation Agency is investigating the crash.
