No charges for York Co. deputy who shot man reaching for cane

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A solicitor said there will be no charges against a York County Sheriff's deputy who shot an elderly man reaching for a cane earlier this year.
 
Deputy TerranceKnox shot the elderly man at a traffic stop in clover, after the man reached into the bed of his pickup for a cane.
 
Knox thought the cane was a weapon. 

Solicitor Kevin Brackett has reviewed the case and won't file charges against Knox.
