South Boulevard shut down due to gas line, CMPD says

CHARLOTTE — South Boulevard near Tremont Avenue will be shut down, according to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police said the closure is due to issues with a gas line.

Northbound lanes will continue to be open, according to police.

Police said drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route.
