Speedway officials take steps to help race fans stay cool this weekend

Temperatures are expected to soar into the mid-90s Sunday, when thousands of race fans will pack the stands at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Coca-Cola 600.

Many have already arrived at nearby campgrounds in Concord.

Meteorologist Jaclyn Shearer talked with speedway officials to find out what steps they’re taking to help people stay cool.
