Subway employee punched in the head during attempted robbery

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for the person who tried to rob a Subway restaurant in uptown Tuesday night.

According to officers, a man came into the Subway on Graham Street just before 9 p.m., took out a handgun and tried to steal cash.

The man then punched a female employee in the head before running away. She was not badly hurt and didn't require medical attention.

Police have not released a description of the man.
