• SunTrust branch on Independence Blvd. robbed


    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are looking for the person who robbed a southeast Charlotte bank Friday morning.

    Police said the armed robbery happened at the SunTrust branch on East Independence Boulevard around 10:15 a.m.

    Officers have not made any arrests and did not say how much money the robber made off with.
