CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Suspected members of a violent Central American gang were in federal court Tuesday in Charlotte, hoping a judge will let them get out of jail on bond.

Police and FBI agents round up a dozen suspected member of the MS-13 gang last week on charges ranging from conspiracy to attempted murder.
They've been in jail since the roundup.

Several family members told Channel 9 that some of them have not been part of gang activity for years.
